Prof Dr Sajid Mehmood Shahzad is a retired naval officer who has held key positions in his naval tenure. He gained a doctorate from the University of the Punjab, succeeding his MPhil from National Defense University Islamabad in International Relations. Dr. Shahzad is widely acclaimed for his contributions to maritime affairs through his research papers and two popular books: "Impact of Pakistan Maritime Affairs on Blue Economy in Backdrop of CPEC" and "Pakistan Maritime Tourism." He is currently holding the position of Vice-Chancellor at Minhaj University Lahore.

Dr Muhammad Ishfaq

DIRECTOR

Dr. Uzma Naz is the Assistant Professor and Head of School of International Relations at Minhaj University Lahore. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Nautical Eye and Strategic Studies J-NESS. Her area of research is foreign policy analysis and foreign policy decision making, Middle East and maritime security. She takes pride to pioneering courses related to maritime domain in the academia of Lahore. She is founding editor of Journal of Nautical eye and strategic studies. Currently, she is the Deputy Director of CRIMA. She is author of many research articles published in national and international journals.

Dr Uzma Naz

Dr. Waqasia Naeem is an Associate Professor in School of English and Assistant Director of CRIMA at MUL. She has earned her doctorate in Linguistics from University of Management and Technology Lahore. She has over 15 years of teaching experience at university level. She has also published papers in various reputable journals, nationally and internationally. Her research interests lie in Discourse, Marine discourses, Linguistic representation of Maritime discourses, Media discourses, Critical Discourse Analysis.

Dr Waqasia Naeem

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Dr. Syed Waqas Haider Bukhari is an Assistant Professor in the School of International Relations, Minhaj University Lahore. He is the Editor of Journal of Nautical Eye and Strategic Studies J-NESS. He got his doctorate from National Defense University (NDU) Islamabad. His core area of interest includes Research Methodology, Theories of International Relations, Rise of China, CPEC and Maritime. He has published many research articles in various renowned national and international research journals. He is also a part of international advisory board of various journals. He is the member of Centre of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs CRIMA.

Dr Syed Waqas Haider Bukhari

Dr. Salman Amin is an Assistant Professor and HOD of Media & Communication Studies at MUL. The core area of his research is mass communication, media effects, social media and personality traits, political communication, media and cultural impact, youth participation, development project, governance and public & media policy and Monitoring & Evaluation. He has published 24 research papers in both national and international research journals. He is an author of a book which LAP Academic Publishing, Germany. And also review editor of Sage Publication International. He is the member of Centre of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs CRIMA.

Dr Salman Amin

MARITIME TECHNOLOGY

Dr. Wasiq Ikram currently working as Assistant Professor and HOD of Botany. He completed his doctoral studies in Biological Sciences (Plant Nutrition Management) from PIEAS, Islamabad, Pakistan. He served as Research Fellow with Soil Ecology Research Group at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He participated in several international trainings, seminars and conferences at Canada and USA and received Regis-Simard Research Award (First Position) in 2017 for presenting his research at 31 st Annual conference of AQSSS at Quebec, Canada. He is the member of Centre of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs CRIMA.

Dr. Wasiq Ikram

MARINE SCIENCES

Ms Iqra Manzoor is a Research Associate at CRIMA, Minhaj University Lahore. She is M.Phil. in Biochemistry. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. from University of Lahore. The core area of her research is Water Pollution, Blue Economy and Waste Water Treatment. She has published different issues of CRIMA Quarterly Newsletter ‘Nautical Eye’ and CRIMA Annual Reports. She has also published opinion articles in CRIMA’s official newsletter Nautical Eye on the topic of Pakistan’s Blue Economy: Opportunities and Challenges. Moreover, her roles at CRIMA includes organizing national conferences, workshops, summer schools, reports making and conference proceedings of CRIMA.

Ms Iqra Manzoor

Rabia Shafique is a Research Associate at CRIMA Minhaj University Lahore. She is double master in Political Science & Education leadership and Management. She had M.Phil. in Educational leadership and policy studies from University of Education, Lahore. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. from the same university. The core area of her research is Effect of Shared Leadership Behaviour of Heads on Subordinates Performance at University level. Moreover, her roles at CRIMA includes organizing international conferences, workshops, winter schools, reports making and conference proceedings of CRIMA and she also arrange meetings of CRIMA.

Ms Rabia Shafique

Iqra Shahbaz is a Research Assistant at CRIMA. She graduated from UMT in BS-Microbiology. Her research is KAP survey on Covid-19, (Level of Knowledge, Attitude and Risk Factors of COVID-19 among Pakistani Population: A Cross Sectional Study). Moreover, her roles at CRIMA includes organizing seminars, workshops, reports making of CRIMA.

Iqra Shahbaz

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Muhammad Subhan Saleem is a Research Internee at CRIMA and student of BS International Relations at MUL. His areas of interest include the Middle East, South Asia, Maritime Affairs, Indo-Pacific Region, Foreign Policy, Naval Warfare and International Security. He had published numerous articles on various platforms namely Strait of Hormuz, Militarization in Indian Ocean, Judaism and Zionism. He had also researches on Israel-Palestine Conflict, Middle Eastern Maritime Crisis, Naval Shift of South Asia, and Contemporary Naval Warfare; a case study of Pakistan Navy.
