Centre of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs (CRIMA) at Minhaj University Lahore played a pivotal role in the one-day Aqua Business Promotion Symposium 2023 held at Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore. The event was themed as 'Nurturing Investments-Igniting Economic Prosperity'. The aim was to enhance the sustainability of the aquaculture sector, attract private sector investments, and promote global integration of aquaculture products. The symposium was organized by the Department of Fisheries Punjab, Punjab Board of Investment & Trade, and the Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The symposium witnessed active participation from various stakeholders. CRIMA's representatives showcased the center's dedication to maritime research and innovation, earning appreciation from symposium attendees. During the symposium, CRIMA presented souvenirs to dignitaries and introduced the books 'Impact of Pakistan Maritime Affairs on Blue Economy in the backdrop of CPEC', 'Pakistan Maritime Tourism', and 'Musalsal Safar Mai Hain' by Prof Dr Sajid Mehmood Shahzad, Vice Chancellor, Minhaj University Lahore. The symposium participants applauded the dedication of the centre. CRIMA expressed hope for collaboration with stakeholders, including Punjab Board of Investment & Trade, Department of Fisheries Punjab, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and other sponsors, to host a successful seafood festival in upcoming year with the aim to extend the festival's reach to different universities of Punjab, fostering a culture of awareness and innovation in maritime affairs.
