CRIMA organized a Seminar on ‘World Environment Day’ in collaboration with the School of Botany, MUL. The guest speakers were Prof Dr Abdul Qadir and Dr Waheed Ullah Khan from the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences of University of Punjab. Both the guest speakers delivered speeches. Dr Abdul Qadir highlighted the impact of environmental pollution caused by rapid industrial growth and deforestation. He stressed that plastic waste is a global threat to marine life and human health, and urged collaborative international efforts to minimize plastic usage. Dr Waheed Ullah Khan addressed the critical issue of global warming and glacier melting due to insufficient tree planting and the hazardous impact of plastic waste. He emphasized the need for a cohesive strategy between the Pakistani government and the private sector to combat environmental pollution. The seminar was attended by a large number of faculty members and students.
